The M5 Circle
When things got tough a few years ago and we had limited supplies of meat - our M5 Circle (previously known as Farm Club) members got first priority... and they always will! As prices of beef are expected to continue to rise in the next year and beyond, M5 Circle member prices are locked in when you sign up!
We live in an unusual time with unexpected shortages and scarcity, but with our new Five Marys Harvest Trailer and Custom Meat Co., we finally have full-circle control of how, why, and when we raise and harvest our animals for you all year long. This means we have the best chance of continuing to supply you and your family with our all-natural, premium, ranch raised meats whenever you need them. The only hang-up being... we might not always have enough! That’s where M5 Circle comes in :)
Our M5 Circle members will always get first priority on ordering when our inventory is low. Memberships are totally flexible so you can change your preferences every month, add requested cuts for special occasions, skip months when you have plenty, and get the best deals on your favorite cuts. You'll have lots of options to add things on to your box, like M5 spice rub, snack sticks, honey, bone broth, cookbooks, pet boxes, and more!
We also have a private, small-group M5 Circle Community Facebook group where you can share and post recipes, ask questions about new cuts, and interact with other M5 Circle members. Learn more about the M5 Circle below and email sarahk@fivemarys.com with any subscription questions!

WHY JOIN THE M5 CIRCLE?
The reason Brian and I started ranching was because when we owned and operated restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, we wanted to serve only the very best quality beef, from a source that we could always trust. We wanted to find cattle with great genetics for marbling and flavor from a feed-and-finish and animal handling program that was done right. Long story short… we started raising that cattle ourselves!
We hear from customers all of the time that they’ve never had anything like Five Marys beef! It’s different. It’s special. It’s a delicacy! But what makes it so different?!
SUPERIOR GENETICS
Our ground beef comes from the cattle we raise with the intention of producing really good steaks. It’s steak-quality ground beef… and you can taste it!
TRACEABILITY
We harvest cattle by the steer in very small batches each week (usually about 10 steers) and now with our very own Five Marys Custom Meat Co., we have complete traceability for each animal that we harvest.
SMALL BATCH PACKAGING
At Five Marys, we harvest 10 steers each week and our ground beef is ground only from those 10 steers each and every week! We grind some premium cuts like brisket or sirloin to premium quality and aim for 80-20% or 85-15% lean to fat, with a really ‘clean fat’ that just adds to the flavor! It’s packed fresh, flash frozen, has numbered bags so we know which set of steers it came from and we ship it right to our customers soon after it is packaged.
QUALITY FEED FOR CLEAN MEAT
We finish our cattle on alfalfa grass, grain hay, and steam-flaked barley because it’s a fantastic mixed ration for cattle to easily digest but also yields a very clean, white marbling and fat - with all of the best flavor!
DRY-AGING
Dry-aging is a craft tradition that used to be the norm, but is slowly being phased out commercially in favor of expediency and efficiency. Brian and I firmly believe that dry-aging creates the best possible beef with that amazing ‘steak house’ taste and tenderness every time. We don’t cut a single steak or grind any meat until the entire carcass is dry-aged for 14 to 28 days after harvest.
GRASS-FED & GRAIN-FINISHED
Purely grass-fed and finished beef doesn’t always benefit from dry-aging, as it is often too lean, but because we finish our cattle on barley, which results in natural marbling, dry-aging is an essential part of what makes our beef unforgettable. Our cattle live a grass-fed lifestyle and graze our green pastures in the spring, summer, and fall. We feed them high-quality alfalfa in the winter months and our harvest steers get an extra ration of chopped alfalfa and barley for an extended finish time of 180 days.
NO HORMONES OR ANTIBIOTICS
When we say this, we mean it.
