RANCH HAND at Five Marys Ranch

We're growing our ranch team and looking for a ranch hand to help us take exceptional care of our livestock, our equipment, and our ranch. Must be able to problem solve and self motivated to work unsupervised. Must care about animal health, safety and well-being first and foremost.

A little about us: Five Marys is a family-run cattle ranch in Fort Jones, in the heart of Scott Valley. Brian and I run it with our four daughters. We raise, harvest, butcher and ship our own beef and pork right here on the property, direct to customers all over the country. We take good care of this place and we're looking for someone who'll do the same.

The basics:

● 5 to 5.5 days/week, includes at least one weekend day

● $20/hour minimum to start — more depending on experience

● Long-term position, hiring right away

You must have:

● Heavy equipment experience — safe operation and basic maintenance

● A clean driving record and solid trailer-hauling experience

● Livestock experience

Bonus if you also have:

● Mechanic skills · welding · fence construction · construction experience

● Class A license

● Experience with cattle, pigs, sheep or horses
