FIVE MARYS RANCH

SHOP FIVE MARYS MEATS

We are the Heffernan family and we are Five Marys Ranch.

We believe in working hard and doing things the old-fashioned way, together as a family, to provide for yours. There simply are no shortcuts. We commit to consistently providing the finest quality meats, only from animals that we raise, as a family, on our ranch, directly to your family’s doorstep and to your table, anywhere in the country.

And yes, there really are ‘Five Marys!’

Five Marys Ranch is named for the five girls in our family - all named Mary. Our daughters are all named after grandmothers and aunts on both sides, carrying on a longstanding family tradition of strong women named Mary. We hope to continue our legacy for generations to come.

We hope you’ll shop Five Marys. We’d love to be a part of your family’s meals and for you to know and trust where your food comes from.

Meet Your Ranchers

Here in the mountains and pastures of far Northern California, Brian and Mary work tirelessly to produce the best quality meat for you to feed your family.

You can trust that our animals are raised with care and attention, that quality and consistency matter and that you know where the food you feed your family comes from.

After years in the restaurant business, we had a lot of trials cooking with different meats, from small farms to bigger farms - so we decided to produce our own!

We appreciate that consistency matters - that extra effort like well-packaged products, extended dry-aging, and old-fashioned butchery practices (one animal at a time) is required for the most spectacular flavor and tenderness.

Our Story
A man and woman dressed in cowboy attire standing in a field with cattle and mountains in the background.
  • Various raw cuts of meat including bacon, steak, and pork on wooden cutting boards and in cast iron pans, with vegetables and cooking tools on a kitchen counter.

    M5 MEATS

Our Black Angus cattle, Heritage Berkshire hogs and Navajo Churro lambs spend their days on our green pastures and hills rich in minerals with plenty of sunshine and fresh Northern California mountain air. We vigilantly care for our animals as a family and ship directly to your doorstep. You can experience the difference in the taste of our beef, pork and lamb.

  • Clear jars labeled 'Five Marys' filled with spice rubs are displayed on a blue cloth at an outdoor market.

    M5 PANTRY

When you start cooking with top-quality meat, you don’t need many other ingredients. We’ve got all you need to stock your pantry with the staples - olive oil, salt and spice blends, beef cooking tallow, homespun honey and more.

  • Multiple small glass jars filled with whipped cream arranged on a wooden surface, some jars with gold-colored lids and others without lids, in a close-up view.

    BEEF TALLOW

A skincare super power that's been used for centuries! The main ingredient is our well-raised, clean, nutrient-rich, nourishing, anti-microbial tallow. This amazing ingredient is "bioavailable" since it's an animal protein and not from plants making it super compatible with our body's natural structure.

    M5 COOKBOOKS

Cooking meat doesn’t need to be intimidating - no matter how many people you’re cooking for! Mary shares her favorite homegrown recipes and traditions from her family to yours.

  • A bedroom with a bed covered in a colorful southwestern pattern quilt, a dark pillow, and a striped pillow. At the foot of the bed, there is a vintage trunk with a fluffy white sheepskin rug and a set of antlers placed on top. A white cowboy hat hangs on the foot of the trunk. Small nightstands with lamps and decorative items are on each side of the bed, with a window in the background.

    SHEEP PELTS

Our gorgeous Navajo Churro heritage sheep have beautiful, unique pelts. They are saved after harvesting (where they would otherwise go to a landfill) and we work hard to honor the animal and use all the parts after harvesting that we can.

  • Pieces of frozen pork belly on a wooden cutting board.

    PET FOOD & TREATS

Raised on the ranch and crafted and care at Five Marys Custom Meat Co (USDA inspected), each pet food product treat is packed with the finest quality ingredients. You know exactly where your products are coming from so you can feel safe knowing you are giving your pet the best most nutritious food possible.
