MEET YOUR MASTERMIND

LEADERSHIP TEAM!

Mary Heffernan

Mary of Five Marys Farms is passionate about small business and is thrilled to share her years of knowledge, experience, and insight with your small business. On the journey of opening and running over 20 small businesses, she has learned that it’s always best to do as much as you can yourself.

Mary believes that a huge part of small business success is to minimize outsourcing and to stay true to your vision.

Since starting Five Marys Farms, Mary has created several businesses around the heart of the ranch, including M5 Entrepreneurs Academy, Five Marys Burgerhouse, M5 Ranch School, Five Marys Custom Meat Co., M5 Supply Co., and two ranch raised cookbooks.

Mary has mastered the art of social media to market her brand and is excited to share with you all that she has learned so you can grow your profitability and brand awareness!

Kendall Ballantine

Kendall of Central Park Farms and Marketing for Farmers, is a proud farmer and business owner who grew the annual revenue of her small-scale farm-to-table business into the six figures, all through the power of digital marketing and without spending a dime on marketing.

After many failures, lots of learning, and a heck of a lot of successes, she is a wealth of knowledge and is sharing what she knows to help other business owners reach their ideal customers and grow their business.

Kerissa & Charlie Payne

Kerissa and Charlie Payne of Covey Rise Farms have turned a blank slate, bare dirt farm into what you see today - a nationally recognized brand that has grown from feeding their immediate family to now shipping their meats and feeding families across the country.

Kerissa and Charlie are looking forward to coaching other small business owners and sharing what they’ve learned through extensive hard work, long days, great customers, publications, and social media so that you too can grow your brand and business!

Leslie Svacina

Leslie of Cylon Rolling Acres spent many years working in another career field before making the transition to first-generation farmer. During her first year of business, Leslie worked on building new fences, putting in seasonal water lines, installing animal walkways, and updating tired outbuildings and the retired farmhouse.

Later, they purchased their foundation of Boer goats and have been growing their herd, business, and brand ever since.

Leslie loves to share her passion for raising meat goats, farming practices, and regenerative grazing through social media, blogging, workshops, and presentations on related topics.

Della Hayden

Della started Circle Bar Co in 2010, with a camera from Costco and a herd of cows willing to get in front of the camera. For the past 12 years, Della has photographed livestock, babies, weddings, families, births, pets, couples, events, and businesses.

In 2015, Della started her print shop and her artwork now hangs in homes across the country. Over the past decade, she has failed, learned, and grown - she is excited to share with you all what she has experiences along the way!

Brandi Graves

Brandi has been homeschooling her three kids for the past sixteen years, while owning and operating Savage Sublime Co. - a home and lifestyle brand centered around the handmade culinary boards she creates from native Bay Laurel trees grown on her property.

Brandi is the author of Delightful Survival and is passionate about encouraging parents of all ages and backgrounds, and breaking down the process of developing a homeschool mindset, establishing a framework for success, and tailoring an education to meet your child’s needs, while at the same time holding space to build a successful small business of your own.

Dana Carey

Dana is part of a three-generation family ranching business, Circle Bar Beef. Since the high demand of farm-to-table foods the past three years, Dana has pivoted their business from selling calves to feedlots where they would be finished, to now selling their ranch raised and finished, 100% beef directly to consumers all across the United States.

Dana believes in and understands the importance of building a relationship between producer and consumer and is excited to share with other business owners all that she has learned from experiencing huge growth after evolving their business plan into what the market demanded.

Caroline Nelson

Caroline of Little Creek Lamb & Beef started in 2017 and haven’t stopped moving full-speed ahead since then. At the start of her business, Caroline started sharing daily on social media to show others the way of life that she had come to cherish, and also to connect customers with their food source.

Within a year of business Caroline had begun her cattle herd, and began offering dry-aged beef, in addition to their grass-fed lamb. Since then, they have expanded their brand and offerings into natural ranch goods, their popular subscription based Farm Club, and educational retreats for women.

In all aspects of Little Creek, Caroline prioritizes transparency and is excited to share with you all that she has learned behind-the-scenes in the process of expanding her business.

Liz Langford-Cobo

When Liz isn’t driving the feed truck for her brother or feeding goats and chickens, she is designing website templates designed for farms, ranches, and other rural small town businesses.

britelime Creative provides coaching with website design, graphic design, and teaches courses focused on website design, SEO, and the power of storytelling.

Liz loves small business, loves being an entrepreneur, and her goal is to help other entrepreneurs in agriculture and rural areas build websites that convert visitors into customers!

Becca Lorenz

Becca came to Five Marys in 2020 with a background as an elementary school reading teacher. She worked to help create M5 Ranch School and has since been learning the ins and outs of small business as she works alongside Mary to create and manage several M5 Entrepreneur courses and the M5 Mastermind program.

You can find her working in several different areas of Five Marys… in the M5 retail shop, coordinating retreats, shipping meat, creating online marketing materials, communicating with customers, and more!

She is excited to spend the weekend with you and share everything she has learned over the past 2 years while working with Mary and Brian at Five Marys Farms!
