Mary's Fall 2022 Carhartt Picks!

It’s Carhartt beanie season! Carhartt is my favorite brand for working on the ranch, lounging around at home, traveling, or heading out on a date night… pretty much anything and everything now-a-days! I’ve been a Carhartt ambassador for 6 years and I say this every year, but it is so true… the women’s line keeps getting better and better.

Carhartt’s clothes are well made, durable, comfortable, and they always have the best pockets. Fall is the best time of year to break out your tried-and-true Carhartt layers and shop for a few new fun pieces to add to your collection!

I used to think that Carhartt was just for trade workers (and was a little jealous how cool my construction worker friends looked in their worn-in Carhartts) but it didn’t take me long to regret not buying Carhartt clothes much sooner. They are for ANYBODY, no matter what you do or how you wear them.

I grabbed some of my M5 crew to help me model this year :) I hope you enjoy looking through my fall picks… I included links to each item if you want to snag some for yourself, friends, or family… Carhartt really makes the BEST gifts.

Francie is looking so cute in the WOMEN’S SHERPA-LINED DENIM JACKET and I’m wearing the MEN’S SHERPA-LINED DENIM JACKET in a size medium. I love the women’s Carhartt line - but sometimes I suggest browsing the men’s section too!

I always love a denim jacket because you can truly wear it anywhere… on the ranch doing chores, in the shop working on my computer, and to the Burgerhouse for dinner and drinks :)

I prefer the men’s denim jacket in this style because it doesn’t have the fabric waist… it gives me a bit more room to layer a hoodie underneath. If you want a more fitted look and feel, stick with the women’s style on this one. Both have buttons and a zipper, and big pockets in the front. My favorite part of the jacket is the sherpa-lining inside and on the collar though… warm and so cute!

Annie is sporting the CARHARTT CANVAS WORK PANTS. I love how these pants have a bit more stretch than the original work pants. They hit just below your waist and have a ton of pockets for anything that you’d need. Annie works on a flower farm and these are her go-to pants for holding all of her tools while working out in the field.

I love these shots of Francie! If you need a super warm winter jacket, the WOMEN’S MONTANA INSULATED COAT is the bomb! On those early, dark, bone-chilling mornings that you need to let the dog out or feed the animals… you’re going to want this coat. As you can see, the hood is incredible, and the coat is long so it keeps your legs warm too!

It’s really built to last with CarStrong Wind Fighter Quilted Nylon that blocks wind and Rain Defender Durable Water Repellent Technology to roll off light rain and water.

Annie is wearing one of my favorite items from last year and I’m so glad that it’s back! If you’re looking for a fleece for the fall and winter… this FLEECE PULLOVER is it! I wear mine all the time… not only is it really cute, but it has an awesome button-up collar which is really nice to have in the fall.

It comes in 6 colors and has a big pocket in the front, plus a smaller pocket tucked in there too for your phone. This is your new go-to for chilly mornings, hikes, bonfire nights… you name it.

A Carhartt classic… I love this LONG-SLEEVE GRAPHIC T-SHIRT. You can lounge around the house in it, but its heavyweight fabric is thick enough to wear while branding boxes, doing ranch chores, DIY projects… the list goes on and on!

Francie and I are twinning in the MONTANA INSULATED JACKET… and Gilly likes it too :) I’ll throw this one on if I know we’ll be in and out of the freezer a lot that day or if it’s spitting rain and snow. I always love a longer jacket, but this one that hits right at the waist is perfect for jobs that you’ll be moving up and down a lot for.

It has a zippered chest pocket that I’ll keep my phone in and a drawstring hem to tighten up if it’s really cold!

My favorite thing to wear in the fall is leggings and boots, so I’m loving this new FLANNEL TUNIC! It comes in a few different colors and is sooo comfortable. I’m tall and you can see above that it covers my bum, but it’s cut on the sides so it doesn’t look too oversized - I’m wearing a size large here.

It’s great to wear buttoned up or open as a light jacket. I’m excited to wear it more so it gets even more soft and worn-in as I wash it.

Through the rise and falls different trends, the CHORE COAT remains a classic. I can’t tell you how much use Brian gets out of his chore coat around the ranch. It’s a heavyweight coat with a blanket-lined inside that is water-repellent, wind-resistant, and so warm.

Brian still holds onto his original chore coat because it has seen him through so many hard-working days and nights on the ranch throughout the years.

Sarah’s wearing the MIDWEIGHT 1/2 ZIP SWEATSHIRT here. I love the CLASSIC HOODIE but I’m loving this tall collar with version paired with a beanie! It has the large front pocket and the signature smaller pocket inside so your phone doesn’t slip out… perfect for chilly fall dinners outside at the arena :)

Katie is wearing the MONTANA INSULATED VEST… how cute is this?! I LOVE my vests and Carhartt always has so many good ones. This one is super cozy and perfect to layer over your rain gear for an extra layer of warmth. Katie is wearing a size medium… you could definitely size up if you think you’ll layer it over a thicker sweatshirt.

This is another winner - the FLEECE BUTTON-DOWN VEST! I'll pair this one over a sweatshirt on early mornings when we ship boxes. It’s so nice to have a vest to be able to take off once it starts to warm up.

It’s 40’s here at night and 80’s during the day in the valley right now! It looks structured, which I like, but also has a lot of flexibility so you can definitely wear it while you’re working.

Carhartt beanies are a staple in our house. We keep a basket of the CLASSIC BEANIES by the front door to grab on your way outside in the winter… keeps your ears warm and toasty even on a cold 4-wheeler ride.

There are over 20 colors to choose from and I’m loving the new TONAL PATCH BEANIE they introduced this year! That’s the light purple one in the photo!

Annie’s wearing the DENIM LONG-SLEEVE SHIRT - I’m loving this new one! It’s thick enough to wear while you work, but also great to wear open over a simple white t-shirt (cute with the sleeves cuffed up!)

Sarah is wearing the INSULATED ACTIVE JAC… such a great one for when you’ll be working hard and getting dirty! It’s the classic canvas Carhartt material so it’s built to last. It has two inner pockets and two front pockets and is engineering for high warmth in severely cold conditions.

This BASE LAYER 1/4 ZIP is a new one I’m trying out this year! I’m excited to wear it underneath the denim button-up at rodeos as it’s getting colder. It’s made with sweat-wicking fabric and has a cool thumb feature so it doesn’t ride up when you’re pulling a jacket or sweatshirt over the sleeves.

If you’re into winter sports at all… this one is for you!

Another couple of my favorite Carhartt vests :) The HOODED INSULATED VEST and the MOCK NECK VEST are really similar… just with or without the hood! They are both insulated so they add a great extra layer of warmth. They are the classic Carhartt canvas material so they are thick enough work in out in the field, garden, garage, studio… you name it.

Both the SHERPA JACKET and the CANVAS BOMBER JACKET are favorites that I’m so happy is back again this year. The bomber jacket comes in four colors - classic Carhartt brown, basil, natural, and black. It’s the Carhartt canvas material that you’re used to and has two large pockets on the front and a small zip pocket on the chest.

The sherpa jacket is so soft and has all the signature Carhartt pockets that you need! Both jackets are really perfect for any kind of job… and they are both so cute on their own for a date night! :)

Steven’s wearing the MEN’S INSULATED JACKET and it’s a major go-to for Brian and all of the butchery team. It’s an insulated and quilted jacket, so it’s very warm, but without all of the bulk of a heavy winter coat… great for layering under another jacket or on it’s own for heading outside at the end of the day with some chore beers!
